Trunk or Treat

This was the year of the DIY costumes.
It is always much more fun when you can make it yourself...SAID NO ONE EVER!
Nonetheless, we threw some things together and here is what we came up with!

**Our minion refused to be photo'd after this due to
goggle malfunction, general fatigue and sugar overload.

Painting Pumpkins

Our house group met on our regular Thursday night, but this night was extra special. We met at our good friends', the Vunks', house for pumpkin painting!! We brought our pumpkins that we picked at Green Acres Pumpkin Patch and the kids stayed busy with their artistry. The event at the Vunks' was actually a neighborhood outreach event that aimed to reach and connect with members of the community in and around The Lift area. We had a great night of fellowship with each other and new faces, while the kids made spectacular pumpkins to adorn our yard. Too bad Dad missed the festivities, he was away at a discipleship weekend!

Pumpkin Patch 2016

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch was a great time. Lottie and Jude got to really experience the trip. They looked, picked, threw and even tasted many of the various gourds that Green Acres had on display. We love the trip each year. Not only is it a nice outing, but each of us chose a pumpkin to decorate later to celebrate the fall season....my favorite!

Soccer

Eli enjoyed another fall soccer season. We love to see him in action. He has grown in skill as well as in stature. He is starting to look like a man. He is now in the U18 League, so he is playing with the big guys...and girls. We have made sure that he plays like a gentleman at all times and has good sportsmanship. He has grown in control of the ball as well as aggression in his play. We are pleased to see our children in team sports where they learn cooperation with others and how to compliment their talent with those of others. Eli scored two goals this season and we look forward to seeing him in action in the spring.

Clementine: 3 months

This girl really is a dream baby! Clementine is three months old and growing so much. Her hair is getting curlier and she is getting longer. She smiles, goos and laughs the most beautiful sound!!! Her newest trick is rolling over. She is still exclusively nursing, seven times a day and once, sometimes twice during the night. If the worst thing that this baby can do is want her Mama at night, I cannot complain! We do love this little darling, Clementine!
