Summertime

Hot days, wildflowers, cold treats, bonfires, wagon rides and creepy crawly things.
It must be summer.

Pool

They asked for a "ground pool". This is what they got.
Think they know the difference?

Abe turns Six

Abe celebrated his 6th birthday with family and friends at home. Summer birthdays are the best!! We enjoyed cake and ice cream, and a competitive game of croquet. This guy has grown by leaps and bounds this year, and I don't mean merely physically. He has grown intellectually and emotionally. His reading and memorization skills are flourishing, and his communications skills have improved significantly. He is keeping himself under better control and verbalizing his feelings.

Abe, I think you are going to be just fine!! We love you so very much and are excited to see you grow in such ways! Happy birthday, buddy!

Reese

I heard a faint, but obvious mew. I tried not to hear it. What else was I to do? I followed the tiny cry and across the road. Where beneath the weeds and brush, popped out a tiny black and white face. He was not a bit afraid. A flea bag if you will. I brought him home and they have been inseparable since.

Meet Reese!

Anniversary Escape

We visited the Jackson Escape Room for our Anniversary.
So glad to know that you would be able to get me out of a precarious situation if need be.
14 years and I still don't want to escape you!
I love you, dear!

Recital 2016

2016 was the first year for one ballerina and the fifth year for another ballerina, both milestones. Again, our family participated in the ballet program at Pat Brown School of Dance.

Eva expressed interest during the summer, so she began her first year at the school in the fall. She began learning foundational positions and movements in the art of ballet. She experience a bit of stage fright leading up to her recital, but she did outstanding!

Mia continued to hone her foundational skills, while learning more advanced movements. She performed beautifully as well in her performance of Edelweiss. She also received her much anticipated 5-year trophy for dedication.
