Mia had her fourth ballet recital with Pat Brown School of Dance. She is growing in grace and poise! Her dancing skills and confidence on stage have grown immensely this year. We are so proud of her hard work and dedication to ballet. She had a slight wardrobe malfunction on stage and she never missed a cue or dance step. She carried her way all the way through the performance, ending with a smile! We love this young lady!
Beautiful and before God, my life merged with another on a beach in Hawaii the first June afternoon of 2002. That is where our adventure began! Here it continues...

AWANA awards
Our AWANA program is a big deal at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Our children work extremely hard completing bible lessons, memorizing scriptures and forming friendships for ten months of the year. Each clubber hopes to complete his or her handbook each year to receive awards for their outstanding achievements. This year we had five clubbers in four different clubs....PHEW...that equals a lot of scriptures, a lot of lessons, and a lot of fun! We are so proud of our children for making such great efforts to learn about God and know His word.

Jude: 9 months
The littlest West is nine months old today! Where does the time go? He is loving solid foods. He eats them 1-2 times a day. No cups yet. Nurses 6 times a day and at night to settle him back to sleep. Has started sleeping better, waking only 1-2 times each night. At this point I do not even remember what it feels like to sleep long stretches. Naps 2-3 times a day. Crawling everywhere. Likes to interact with his siblings. Loves to get into their business since he can get where he wants to go. His newest trick is pulling to a stand. We love our Judah man!
Classroom Creativity
I love to get creative. It is one of my outlets to distress.

Eva Graduates
Eva graduated kindergarten!!!!! I would have never dreamed how much this girl would have grown in this year! Eva has been our quiet, reserved, not-a-fan-of-an-audience-by-any-means child. This is the kids who stared like a deer in headlights when it was time to perform hand-bells with the children's choir. She would not even reach down to pick up her bells. So when she came home with her speaking part for graduation, mt heart skipped a beat...for her. She rocked it like a boss! Eva has worked so hard at reading and has become quite proficient! She loved art and to explore science and history. She really enjoyed her classmates and Ms. Claire too!

Mother's Day
Homemade pizza, picnics, fudgesicles and all of these loves (plus daddy)made my day!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!
Jude's Dedication
Each Mother's Day (most of the time) new babies are dedicated at our church, Hillcrest Baptist Church. Parents who choose, may go through a brief ceremony where we dedicate our child(ren) to the Lord. We take an oath to spiritual strive to lead our children to Christ and raise them in the admonition of the Lord and His Word. We believe that a christian home, and even education, is a strong foundation for life, with the ultimate goal of salvation. This service is in no way related to salvation, which we believe comes from faith Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins and His triumphal resurrection on the third day. We believe salvation comes by grace through faith and not works of any kind on our part. We are so thankful for each and every child that the Lord has chosen, and will choose, to give our family.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
are the children of one's youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
who fills his quiver with them!
~Psalm 127:3-5
