Bookshelf

This man never ceases to amaze me! His talent is growing with each new project he takes on. This one was for our classroom. We needed somewhere to put all of our books, cubbies, puzzles, curriculum and supplies in a orderly fashion. The bookshelf that he built was completely reclaimed pallet wood, except for the top two pieces, which were salvaged wood from

Cicadas

The noise is deafening. Like something out of a science fiction movie. They have waited 17 years for this! We have trees everywhere, thus we have cicadas literally EVERYWHERE. They buzz and screech at us if we accidentally touch them. They have hitched rides inside our vehicle, unknown by us. There are holes all over our yard where these creatures have tunneled out to molt. There are crunchy shells scattered about.

Jude: 10 months

This stinker is 10 months old. He is tipping the scale at over 20lbs. He is still nursing 5-6 times during the day, once at night. He has 4 teeth. He is eating a larger variety of soft table foods. He is pulling to a stand. He is cruising. He babbles Mama and Dada. He STILL does not sleep all night. He is still in our room. Maybe we are just chasing our tail here. He will not sit still for photos anymore. He is showing a bit of a rebellious streak. He giggles loudly. His dimples are killer. We love this Mama's boy!!

ANYTHING

Are you up for a challenge?
If you are looking for one of those books that will make you come undone a bit, cause your world to make your heart skip a beat or two or three, one that will break you just a little....or (if you are like me) makes you feel like you are less radical, less isolated, less intimidated by the life God handed you, more comfortable in these dusty shoes, more like "Hey, finally somebody gets me."
Anything by Jennie Allen is it.
This one could be a life changer if you take it seriously.

CentriKids 2015

Said good-bye to two big kids for a week at CentriKids church camp at Cumberland University! The big girl has been dreaming of this day since last year! I know they are having a blast. My biggest helpers deserve some time away. I hope I can wing it without them. They will be missed terribly! Although, I know they are in good hands. With daily bible devotions, fellowship with other kids their age, and lots of fun, they are growing in their relationship with the Father. He will see to it that they are taken care of!

Abe reached a milestone that every little boy hope to reach. He caught his first fish!
Sweet brother moments. Look how proud! And, so are we!!

Summer Ball

Our little sluggers slugged it out on the ball field this summer. This was Eva's second year to play and Abe's first. They both learned a lot, Eva honing her skills and Abe just beginning to develop his, and had so much fun. They were so much fun to watch.
